“Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. Macmillan is here to make sure no one has to go through it alone. Whatever you raise, you will be helping to improve the lives of people affected by cancer across the UK.”
Whomever you are – chances are you know someone who has been directly affected by cancer. This Friday, September 28th is your chance to help – even just a little.
MacMillian is the UK’s largest and best known cancer support charity and every year, they launch their World’s Biggest Coffee Morning to help raise funds for their work. If you’re out and about and spot the Coffee Morning balloons, buntings, etc – stop and put a few pounds or pence into the box and help yourself of a cup of coffee. It might only be pocket change, but collectively it all adds up. In 2011 MacMillian raised £10,079,153 to help support and give practical guidance to people living with cancer.
Or, you can find a coffee morning near you:
If you’re just not able to get to a coffee morning, please drop your pocket change into a collection bucket at Sainsbury’s, Boots or with volunteers doing a street collection next time you see them – it will help someone in need at perhaps the most difficult time of their life.
